Namgyalgar, a prominent Dzogchen Buddhist Centre, nestled on 28 acres in the heart of the Glasshouse Mountains, offers exceptional venues for hire. Our tranquil grounds, situated in the hinterland of the beautiful Sunshine Coast, provide an ideal location for hosting your regular classes, day workshops, and short retreats. The Meditation Hall (Gönpa) is one of Namgyalgar’s main practice spaces; it houses our shrine and the seat from which the late Dzogchen Master, Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, taught during his visits to Namgyalgar.
The Meditation Hall features glass sliding doors overlooking the driveway and walkway up the hill of the property, which flood the space with natural light and provides soothing ventilation. Ground access to the gorgeous landscape with extensive views of the magnificent Glasshouse Mountains make it a beautiful, and private venue for group hire.

More about the space:
The hall is 12 metres by 9 metres in size and is ideally suited for:
- Up to 40 participants in a classroom set-up.
- Up to 25 participants for more physical activities such as yoga or art courses.
Equipment includes: Tatami mat flooring, 10 yoga mats, 10 bolsters, 10 cork blocks, abundant cushions and a large TV screen.
Tea and coffee-making facilities and a fridge are provided in the open adjacent space of the Mandala Kitchen. Outside the entry door of the building, there is a toilet and shower, and an undercover area overlooking the trees.
Rates and Availability
Our weekends fill up quickly, with some groups organising their annual retreats more than a year in advance. Please contact us on the link below, with potential dates for your booking.
Rates in 2025:
Hourly rate: $25 per hour with a minimum of 2 hour hire.
Daily rate: $150 per day (maximum 8 hours between 8am-8pm)
Hiring rates and policies will be reviewed in June of each year.
Organisational retreats and team building:
Namgyalgar accommodation is not only suitable for intimate retreats but also offers an ideal setting for Corporate Retreats in the serene Glasshouse Mountains. Participants enjoy staying in a comfortable domestic house, complemented by an inviting outdoor dining area that extends to a yard shaded by a large poinciana tree and a swimming pool.

For up to 10 participants, includes use of library, Mandala kitchen and Gönpa.
Camping is also available at an additional cost.
Minimum 2 nights
$350 per night for accommodation.
Additional $150 per day for Gönpa use.
Total $500 per night- 2 nights is $1000.

CODE OF CONDUCT
It is requirement that any group booking the Meditation Hall agrees to abide by the International Dzogchen Community of Namgyalgar Code of Conduct and to ensure that all participants are fully aware of the behaviours expected in a spiritual community.
